Image result for mac os high sierra public beta

Earlier this week, Apple released its public betas of iOS 11 and tvOS 11, which it unveiled earlier this month at its Worldwide Developer Conference. Now, the company has rolled out the public beta of macOS 10.13 High Sierra, which it also announced at WWDC.

Since the conference, Apple has made beta builds available to developers, but this is the first time that this latest version of macOS is being made generally available to the public.

macOS 10.13 High Sierra includes a broad range of improvements, including:

  • Major speed enhancements for the Safari browser, along with a built-in autoplay blocker, and new privacy protection features
  • Optimizations to the Mail app, with added split-screen support
  • More advanced editing tools in Photos
  • Native support for H.265/HVEC video
  • Second-generation Metal 2 graphics API, including VR support
  • Apple File System with native encryption and improved system performance

The new version of macOS is scheduled to arrive this autumn, but you can take it for a spin now in preview form, by heading to the Apple Beta Software Program site.
